Let's Think Art

Age: 24 

 

I grew up in Armstrong County and currently reside in Kittanning, Pennsylvania. 

 

Art has been a hobby of mine since I was very young (drawing, painting, etc.). Before graduating high school I became interested in photography. I then attended Carlow University as an Art with Photography Specialization major where I later received my BA. 

 

In my opinion, art has always been an inspiration in itself. I find it to be the best form of relaxation and self expression. The works of other artists are almost always taken into consideration while I'm working on a piece - kind of like creating a collage board of inspiration. I like the trial and error method, sometimes it's the battle of mastering a technique that motivates me most.

I love being a mom - sometimes that includes art too though. We love painting, going to the library and being outside.

I would love to see a greater support for arts in Armstrong County. It could be turning a brick wall into a mural or displaying local  artwork in business like restaurants or boutiques.
